Former Penn State Receiver KJ Hamler Falls For Christmas Jersey Prank

In anticipation of the Christmas Day matchup between the Denver Broncos and Los Angeles Rams, CBS Sports enlisted veterans from both teams to pull a holiday prank.

Each team placed a mannequin in the locker room, donned in a mismatched uniform akin to an ugly Christmas sweater. The Broncos adorned theirs with bright blue and orange stripes, Christmas tree patterns, and a reindeer helmet decal.

Former Penn State receiver KJ Hamler had an animated reaction upon his first look, pacing around the mannequin and profusely swearing in disbelief.

“Y’all put a f—ing reindeer on it?” Hamler said. “I ain’t even gonna sugarcoat it, that ain’t it.”

In Los Angeles, fellow Penn Stater Nick Scott helped orchestrate the prank on his Los Angeles Rams teammates.

With Christmas lights swirling around the helmet’s horn decals and a chimney for Santa Claus on the back, the Rams’ uniform drew similar ire.

Though Penn State will be wearing white in the team’s 2023 Rose Bowl appearance, we can’t help but wonder whether the Nittany Lions should also incorporate festive designs into their postseason uniforms.
