[Photo Story] Penn State’s Rose Bowl Media Day

With the Rose Bowl just a few days away, Penn State football took some time to meet with the media Saturday morning right outside the stadium.

The entire team and coaching staff were made available, and it was also the first time this season that all true freshmen were allowed to be interviewed by the press. Right after media day, the team posed for a group picture outside of Rose Bowl Stadium in the dreary conditions.

Here’s a look at the day through our lens.

The media tent was decked out with signs, helmets, and the Leishman Trophy.

The team walked in wearing their white jerseys with the clean Rose Bowl logo, which is different than the logo from past years.

The media jumped at the chance to talk to true freshmen for the first time, including Nick Singleton, Abdul Carter, and Drew Allar.

James Franklin made sure that his players were in the right spots for the group picture and that they were smiling. Before the photo was taken, he emphatically said to his team, “We’re smiling!”

It’s really starting to smell like roses, folks ?
