Farrell Center ‘Experienceship’ Program Opens For Smeal Students

Are you a rising second or third-year Smeal College of Business student looking for summer 2023 internships? If so, the Experienceship Program is the right place for you.

The Experienceship Program, hosted by the Farrell Center for Corporate Innovation and Entrepreneurship, is for students with an “interest in corporate innovation and entrepreneurship.” The program offers experiential internships with local companies in Pennsylvania to innovate the entrepreneurship ecosystem and grow students’ experience.

Students will be able to obtain real-world experience within a corporate setting to grow their skills and network with employers and peers. Students will have the opportunity to apply what they have learned and put it into practice by working in new and small environments to grow Pennsylvania’s small businesses.

Thanks to donations from the Doug and Leila Leech family, students can start their professional careers off on the right foot. Students will receive $4,500 for their contributions courtesy of the Doug and Leila Leech Family and the Farrell Center.

Students interested in the program must visit the Nittany Lion Careers portal and input the term “Experienceship” in the search bar to find open positions. The deadline for student applications is April 1. Students must submit a form to Farrell Center once hired to be eligible for project funds.

To learn more about the program, visit the Experienceship Program page on the Penn State Smeal College of Business website.
