SPA To Host Quinn XCII For SPA Day Concert January 20
SPA will host a free concert featuring My Hero Zero and Quinn XCII at 9 p.m. on Friday, January 20, in the HUB’s Alumni Hall. The concert will be the biggest event to cap off a long day filled with activities hosted by SPA as part of the organization’s annual SPA Day.
My Hero Zero, which will serve as the opener for the concert, is a local favorite band, having performed 12 consecutive times at THON. Throughout the rest of the year, Penn Staters jam out with the band at bars downtown such as The Phyrst and Doggie’s.
Quinn XCII (pronounced ninety-two) is a writer and performer who experienced early-career sucess, with his first EP climbing to the top of Spotify’s charts while he was only a sophomore in college in 2015.
Since then, Quinn XCII has released a total of four full-length albums and a slew of singles. Notably, he has collaborated with Noah Kahan, Logic, Big Sean, and Chelsea Cutler on multiple occasions.
Some of the artist’s popular songs include “Straightjacket,” “Flare Guns” feat. Chelsea Cutler, and “Love Me Less” with MAX. Quinn XCII’s continued success has earned him spots on the stage at Lollapalooza, Firefly, Governor’s Ball, Bonnaroo, and more.
Quinn XCII is set to release his fifth studio album, “The People’s Champ,” on January 27. He has just released a new single from the album, called “The Lows,” along with several other songs to promote the new music.
Students will need to RSVP for the event to secure tickets, which will be available at 8 p.m. on January 18 through OrgCentral.
The concert will be free for Penn State students and is funded by their student-initiated fee.
