UPUA To Host World Cultural Week Events Beginning February 6

The University Park Undergraduate Association (UPUA) is hosting some special events in honor of World Cultural Week.

From February 6 through February 10, you can join UPUA for all kinds of fun activities on campus that honor different cultures.

Monday, February 6 — Global Tournament Night

From 6 to 10 p.m., UPUA will offer non-alcoholic pong, Cornhole, Spike Ball, and stuff-a-plush. Located in HUB 233, there will be free food and drinks, too.

Tuesday, February 7 — Movie Night

“BlacKkKlansman” will be shown from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. in the Freeman Auditorium in the HUB.

Starring John David Washington and Adam Driver, “BlacKkKlansman” follows Ron Stallworth, the first African American police officer in the Colorado Springs Police Department, who infiltrates and exposes members of the Ku Klux Klan. Food and drink will be provided here, too.

Wednesday, February 8 — Cultural Game Night & Jeopardy

“I’ll take World Culture for $500, Alex.”

From 6 to 10 p.m., cultural Jeopardy, bingo, and card games will be hosted in 008 Hub Lounge. Answer “Jeopardy!” questions with a free Chipotle quesadilla in hand. There’s a limited supply of quesadillas, so get in line quickly!

Friday, February 10 — “We Are The World” Exposé

Finish World Cultural Week off strong with performances, games, and stuff-a-plush once again. This event will take place from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. on the HUB steps.
