Your Guide To State College’s Valentine’s Day Events

Valentine’s Day is quickly approaching. For many couples, this means scrambling to secure a perfect restaurant reservation. For all the singles out there, it’s time to grab your friends and hit the town. Whether you’re hopelessly in love or single as ever, we’ve got your Valentine’s Day plans covered.

So, spread the love at one of State College’s many Valentine’s Day events. Here is your guide to navigating all of the Valentine’s Day experiences State College has to offer.

February 11 & 14: Valentine’s Day Date And Skate At Pegula Ice Arena

From 5 to 8 p.m., Pegula Ice Arena will host its Valentine’s Day Date and Skate event. The event is $50 per couple and includes ice skating on the varsity rink and dinner in the Club Café overlooking Mount Nittany. Talk about romantic! Visit Pegula’s website to register.

February 11 & 14: Valentine’s Day Flash Sale At Ikonic Tattoo

On February 11 and 14, Ikonic Tattoo will host a Valentine’s Day flash sale. The sale only includes previously created designs and discounted tattoos are limited to arms and legs. A complete list of tattoos for the sale can be found on Ikonic’s Instagram.

February 12: Galentine’s Day Centerpiece Workshop At The Makery

Girls’ night at the Makery? Sign us up! The Makery, located in MLK Plaza, will host a centerpiece-making workshop complete with fresh flowers, a modern vase, and reusable flower mechanics to create stunning arrangements at home. The event starts at 6 p.m. and is BYOB. Tickets are $55 and must be purchased prior to the event. To purchase tickets, visit the Makery’s website.

February 14 — Penn State Hoops vs. Illinois

For a fun night out, head to the Bryce Jordan Center this Valentine’s Day as the Nittany Lions face off against Illinois. The game starts at 7 p.m. and tickets can be purchased on Ticketmaster.

February 14 — “When Harry Met Sally” Showing At The State Theatre

If you’re looking for a casual night out at the movies, then the State Theatre is the place to be. The classic 80s rom-com will premiere at 8 p.m. in the Friedman Auditorium. Tickets are $10 for adults and $7 for students and can be purchased here.

February 14 — VDay At Cafe

Want to spice up your Valentine’s Day? Cafe 210 West will host a drag show at 8:45 p.m. featuring the State Queens. Attendees must be at least 21 years old and there’s a $5 fee at the door.
