Donny Burns & The 3rd Degree Rocks The Stage In Early Sunday Morning Hours

As part of Sunday morning’s power hour, Donny Burns & The 3rd Degree took the stage to perform at THON 2023 directly after My Hero Zero.

Donny Burns & The 3rd Degree is a local band that has established a cult following in downtown State College when playing at bars like the Phyrst and Cafe. Lead singer Donny Burns and guitarist Nick Stahlman are certainly fan favorites.

The group started off with a cover of Earth, Wind & Fire’s “September” followed by Queen’s “Another One Bites the Dust.”

The band’s performance consisted of mostly covers mixed in with a few original songs to keep the crowd and dancers going during the difficult hours of THON day three.

Special shoutout to ATO and ZTA, who were incredibly hyped during this performance. Just look at how proud they were holding their signs during Donny Burns & The 3rd Degree’s cover of the iconic “Cars” song, “Life Is A Highway.”

The band ended its show with an electric performance of Guns N’ Roses’ “Welcome To The Jungle.” The concert lasted a little over 30 minutes, which was a much-needed distraction in the wee hours of Sunday morning.
