Penn State International Student Council To Host ‘We Are The World’ Event March 1

Penn State’s International Student Council will host its annual showcase event, supported by Penn State Global, on Wednesday, March 1, in the HUB’s Alumni Hall. Doors will open at 6 p.m., and student performances will begin at 6:35 p.m.

The showcase is jam-packed with various cultures represented at Penn State, complete with free multicultural food for attendees, plenty of student performances, and games to add to the fun.

In previous years, “We Are The World” showcases have included performances from groups, such as Sher Bhangra, as well as trivia, dance competitions, and other games with prizes.

Cultural organizations at Penn State will also offer educational opportunities at display booths so students learn more about cultures represented at Penn State and provide opportunities for students to interact with cultures other than their own.

The event is entirely free, and both domestic and international students are encouraged to attend.
