Fundraise $1,500 For A Chance To Rappel Down Beaver Stadium May 19

You now have the chance to view Happy Valley from a ~different~ angle. Centre County United Way is sponsoring an “Over The Edge” fundraiser where over 100 people can rappel down Beaver Stadium.

The first 107 people to raise a minimum of $1,500 can rope down the south side of Beaver Stadium, which is about 110 feet tall.

Students, alumni, and community members can register here.

Centre County United Way raises money for education, financial stability, and physical and emotional health. Its mission is to improve lives by providing opportunities for community members to build a better and more equitable life.

“Many people worked to make this event a reality and we’re excited to be able to host Over The Edge at Beaver Stadium,” Penn State Vice President for Intercollegiate Athletics Patrick Kraft said. “The United Way has been an important part of Penn State’s philanthropy and a huge part of our Centre County community. This is a special opportunity and going to be a great event!”

Of the 53,000 Centre County residents, one-third have accessed resources and services funded by the United Way, according to a release.
