Penn State Offering Late-Night Lyft Vouchers Seven Days A Week

Penn State Transportation Services is providing students with eight late-night $10 Lyft vouchers per month through the end of May.

Transportation Services previously offered this service on the weekends, and it now expands to seven days a week after receiving student feedback. The Ride Smart program can be accessed between 2 and 7 a.m.

Penn State students can get free rides on campus and in the downtown State College area as long as they’re requested during eligible hours and locations.

Pick-up locations are between College Avenue, University Drive, Bellaire Avenue, Hamilton Avenue, and Buckhout Street. Drop-off locations are between Park Avenue, University Drive, College Avenue, and White Course Apartments.

To sign up for the program, students can follow the directions in the email sent to Penn State students by Lyft’s program, which contains all of the enrollment details.

Students can enter the code “PSURIDESMART” in the Lyft app in the payment tab to redeem the monthly credits. When requesting a ride, the credits will automatically be applied.

Credits will expire on the first day of each month, but a new series of credits will be added to your Lyft account.
