Penn State Baseball’s Home Opener Against Georgetown Canceled

You’ll have to wait another day to see Penn State baseball at home.

The Nittany Lions canceled their game against Georgetown on Friday, March 17. The announcement came 25 minutes before the game’s original start time of 5 p.m., though, the team had announced just before 4 p.m. that the game would be pushed back.

This is the second game this week that Penn State canceled due to weather. The Nittany Lions were supposed to host their home opener against Navy on Wednesday before that game was canceled.

Penn State has no plans to reschedule Friday’s game into a double-header for Saturday or Sunday. The series against the Hoyas will simply become a two-game set.

The Nittany Lions will be back in action at 1 p.m. on Saturday, March 18, at Medlar Field at Lubrano Park as they try for a third time to kick off their homestand.
