Penn State’s Center For Sexual & Gender Diversity To Host Beauty Event In HUB March 21

Penn State’s Center for Sexual and Gender Diversity will host an event that features a discussion about beauty standards and ethical practices for Woman’s History Month.

The event will take place from 5 to 8 p.m. on Tuesday, March 21, in HUB LL011.

The event will include an in-depth discussion on how beauty standards, specifically when it comes to makeup, can affect those that identify with the LGBTQ+ community. It also will take a dive into analyzation of different cosmetic brands and take a look at some brands from a sustainable and ethical perspective.

Those attending are welcome to bring their own makeup so they can show off what they know or even lend a helping hand to anyone who wants to learn.
