Primanti Brothers Awarded ‘Coolest Thing Made In PA’ Distinction, Offering Free Booze April 5

Pittsburgh-based bar and restaurant Primanti Brothers will give away free booze at every location in Pennsylvania on Wednesday, April 5, in honor of winning the title of “Coolest Thing Made in PA” by the Pennsylvania Chamber of Business and Industry. The State College location will give out free White Claws, while the other Primanti Brothers locations will serve free beer throughout the day on Wednesday.

In the spirit of March Madness, the Pennsylvania Chamber took to Twitter on March 13, urging its followers to vote for the “Coolest Thing Made in Pennsylvania,” between industrial products, meals, or unique Keystone State goods.

Over 32 companies competed in the bracket championship, which created a statewide buzz and led to more than 32,000 people voting for their favorites. The final round of the bracket was between Pman and Mrs. T’s Pierogies.

Finally, on Monday, March 3, the sandwich shop was crowned the champion with 53% of the total vote, beating out other well-known Pennsylvania-based companies such as Hershey, Crayola, UTZ, Sheetz, and Harley Davidson, to name a few.

Primanti Brothers will be awarded tickets to the Annual Economic Forecast and Business Leadership Summit, along with bragging rights over several other businesses native to Pennsylvania.

The restaurant’s downtown State College location will operate from 11 a.m. to midnight on Wednesday for customers to claim their free White Claw reward.
