Four-Star Athlete Quinton Martin Commits To Penn State Football

Penn State football has a new top player in its Class of 2024.

Four-star athlete Quinton Martin announced Friday night that he’s committing to Penn State’s Class of 2024 over Michigan and Ohio State, among others.

Martin, who plays defensive back and running back at Belle Vernon High School, is the No. 1-ranked player in Pennsylvania, according to 247Sports. Additionally, he’s the third-best athlete in the country and the 30th-best overall player in his class, per 247Sports’ composite rankings.

The Pennsylvania native is the seventh player to join James Franklin’s 2024 class thus far, and he’s the highest-ranked of the bunch. He joins Cooper Cousins, Jon Mitchell, Kenneth Woseley, Anthony Speca, Kari Jackson, and Luke Reynolds in a class that is now ranked the ninth-best in the nation.

It’s currently unclear what position Martin will play when he arrives in Happy Valley. However, he did tag @PSULawnBoyz in his commitment tweet, so that could offer a hint toward him being a running back for the Nittany Lions.

In the meantime, you can get a glimpse of what he’ll bring to Penn State by checking out his Hudl tape.
