Penn State Linebacker Bobby Walchak Enters Transfer Portal

Another Nittany Lion has entered the transfer portal.

Penn State football’s Bobby Walchak entered the portal on Friday, he announced via Twitter. The linebacker enters with three years of eligibility remaining.

Walchak came to Penn State as a preferred walk-on in the Class of 2021. While he often starred as a running back in high school, Walchak took on a linebacker role at Penn State. However, he has not played a down for the Nittany Lions during his two years on campus.

The redshirt sophomore was the second transfer portal announcement of the day after cornerback Storm Duck reportedly entered the portal Friday morning. Lineman Jimmy Christ also announced his entrance into the portal after the Blue-White Game and his commitment to Virginia on Thursday, April 20.
