Four-Star Offensive Tackle Garrett Sexton Commits To Penn State

What a way to start the morning, folks.

Four-star offensive tackle Garrett Sexton announced Monday morning that he’s committing to Penn State’s Class of 2024 over Iowa and Minnesota, among others.

“I would like to thank God, my family, friends, coaches, teammates, and everyone else who has put me in the position I’m in today and for helping me throughout this process,” Sexton said. “I’d also like to thank Coach Franklin and Coach Trautwein, along with the rest of the staff for giving me this opportunity.”

The Hartland, Wisconsin, native plays his high school ball at Arrowhead. According to 247Sports’ composite rankings, Sexton is the fourth-best player in his home state and the No. 30-ranked offensive tackle in the country.

With his verbal commitment, Sexton becomes the 11th player to join James Franklin’s 2024 class. The class is headlined by four-star athlete Quinton Martin and four-star offensive lineman Donovan Harbour.

Sexton is the third listed offensive lineman to commit to the Nittany Lions’ 2024 class thus far, joining Harbour and Cooper Cousins. Additionally, Caleb Brewer is listed as an athlete, but it’s likely he sticks on the offensive line for Penn State.
