Penn State Men’s Lacrosse Stays Put At No. 5, Women’s Team Falls To No. 18 In Latest Poll

Penn State men’s lacrosse remains ranked No. 5 spot in the latest Inside Lacrosse Poll.

The Nittany Lions’ position at No. 5 comes after a 14-5 win over Rutgers on Senior Day on Friday. The win gave Penn State a share of the Big Ten regular-season title.

The Nittany Lions hold a 9-3 record as they prepare for the Big Ten Tournament semifinals on Thursday, May 4, in Baltimore. The men’s team will play either Michigan or Ohio State.

On the other hand, the women’s squad dropped four spots from No. 14 to No. 18 spot following a 16-12 loss to Johns Hopkins.

The women’s lacrosse team will be back on the field when the Big Ten Tournament kicks off. The Nittany Lions will play Michigan for the second time this season on Saturday, April 29, in its quarterfinals matchup.

The team has an 11-5 record ahead of its matchup against Michigan.
