Report: Former Penn State Wide Receiver Mac Hippenhammer Joins Cincinnati Bengals As Undrafted Free Agent

Former Penn State wide receiver Mac Hippenhammer is reportedly joining the Cincinnati Bengals after going undrafted in the 2023 NFL Draft, according to Aaron Wilson of KPRC Houston.

From 2018 to 2019, Hippenhammer appeared in 20 games for the Nittany Lions. Between the two seasons, Hippenhammer managed just seven catches for 188 yards and a lone touchdown.

After transferring to Miami (Ohio), Hippenhammer fought his way into a starting role by 2021. Starting in 21 of his 26 career appearances with the Redhawks, Hippenhammer primed himself for entrance into the NFL Draft.

In 2021, Hippenhammer recorded 786 receiving yards and five touchdowns on 48 catches. The following season, Hippenhammer improved upon most of his totals, churning out 54 receptions, 769 yards, and nine touchdowns.
