NHL Draft Pick Reese Laubach Commits To Penn State Men’s Hockey

Center Reese Laubach committed to Penn State men’s hockey, he announced via Instagram Saturday.

Laubach will arrive in Happy Valley after spending the last two years in the USHL with the Youngstown Phantoms and the Omaha Lancers. He was selected by the San Jose Sharks as the No. 217 pick overall in the seventh round in the 2022 NHL Draft.

With the Lancers, Laubach recorded nine goals and 11 assists in 33 games played.

The San Jose, California, native joined the Lancers from the Youngstown Phantoms, where he registered two goals and two assists in 17 games in the 2022-23 season.

Laubach is the third player to commit to the Nittany Lions in 2023 after forwards Aidan Fink and Jaques Bouquot previously announced their intentions to join Penn State.
