The Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, native is ranked as the No. 127 wideout in the country and the 29th-best player in his home state, according to the 247Sports composite rankings.

Gonzalez is the second receiver to commit to the Nittany Lions’ recruiting Class of 2024, which was named No. 7 in the country before his commitment. Standing at 6’2.5″ and 200 pounds, Gonzalez joins four-star wide receiver Tyseer Denmark as commits from the Class of 2024.

Playing out of Central Catholic, Gonzalez recorded 18 catches in 10 games his junior season for 322 yards and four touchdowns, according to MaxPreps. He also made two solo tackles, including one for a loss.
