Your Arts Fest 2023 Weather Forecast

Sidewalk sales, unique food vendors, and local live music will make this year’s Central Pennsylvania Festival of the Arts, better known as Arts Fest, a lively long weekend. This year marks State College’s 57th annual Arts Fest, and there’s plenty to see and do.

However, it only takes a few raindrops to put a damper on the day, so we’ve curated an Arts Fest weather forecast so you can plan accordingly. Here’s a look at AccuWeather‘s forecast:

Wednesday

Sunshine is expected in the morning, and there is a chance of light thundershowers in the afternoon. With a high of 86 degrees and a real feel of 91 degrees, we suggest light clothes and your favorite pair of sunnies. The UV index will peak at 10, so don’t forget to reapply your sunscreen.

If you plan to peruse downtown in the evening, note that the temperature will drop to 71 degrees. Not too cold in comparison to State College winters, but something to keep in mind!

Thursday

Thursday will be a little bit warmer than Wednesday, with a high of 88 degrees. However, the blistering sun will be hidden behind the clouds for almost the entire day. A blessing in disguise for any pale folks out there.

There is a chance of showers and heavy thunderstorms in the evening, and temperatures will drop below 70 degrees. If you plan to ring in Friday with a bar crawl, we suggest you keep your umbrella handy.

Friday

Friday morning’s shopping might be interrupted by a thunderstorm, but after that, the summer sky will switch between a cloudy cover and sunshine all day. The variety should make Friday a perfect day for attending live music performances and grabbing a bite at your favorite food truck.

Humidity will be high, so breaking out those light and airy clothes again might be best.

Saturday

In the morning, Saturday will be mostly cloudy, warm, and humid. To top it all off, there might be another thunderstorm, which isn’t ideal. Luckily, the chance of precipitation is only in the 50% range, so there’s some hope for a dry day of exploring all that Arts Fest has to offer.

With a high of 88 degrees and a real feel of 94 degrees, Saturday will be the hottest day of Arts Fest. Stay hydrated, folks.

Sunday

The final day of Arts Fest! It looks like Mother Nature will let the festival end on a positive note with partly sunny skies and a high of 85 degrees. There are still chances of spotty showers and thunderstorms throughout the day, but according to AccuWeather, everything should clear up by the late afternoon.
