Penn State Bike Den To Host ‘Biking In The Centre Region’ Workshop July 27

Calling all bikers!

Penn State Transportation Services and the Centre Region Council of Governments are hosting a free “Biking in the Centre Region” workshop from 6 to 8 p.m. on Thursday, July 27, at the Bike Den, located on the ground level of the West Deck.

The workshop will touch on Centre Region bike paths and routes, Pennsylvania and Centre County biking laws, bike choices, and general tips. There will also be opportunities to ask questions to Bike Den staff.

Registration is required for the event, and folks can sign up here. For more information about Penn State biking programs or biking in Centre County, visit Penn State Transportation Services’ website, or check out the Centre Region Council of Governments’ website to learn about local biking resources.

The Bike Den hosts a slew of events throughout the year including its “Women and Queer Night” series, Winter Biking 101 workshops, and maintenance clinics, while offering students and community members biking education and “Learn to Ride” sessions.

For now, the Bike Den is open from 1 p.m. to 6 p.m. from Monday to Saturday, and it’s closed on Sundays and university holidays.
