‘8 Mile Pizza’ To Open August 15

“8 Mile Pizza” is set to open at 300 S. Pugh St. in the former location of Gumby’s Pizza. The Detroit-style pizza joint will begin operations at 11 a.m. on Tuesday, August 15, according to a social media post.

The menu features eight pizza types, including classic Detroit, buffalo chicken, cheesesteak, vodka sauce, and other specialty pies. 8 Mile Pizza also offers sub sandwiches, wings, cheese sticks, pretzel sticks, and salads.

A regular-sized pizza will run folks between $16 to $18 and will feed around two to four people. Personal pizzas are available, too, for $11 to $13.

8 Mile Pizza will toss dough six days a week from Tuesday to Sunday, per its Facebook page. The Pugh Street restaurant will be open from 11 a.m. to 10 p.m. from Tuesday to Thursday, and operate on late-night hours on Fridays and Saturdays from 11 a.m. to midnight. 8 Mile will also be open on Sunday from 11 a.m. to 8 p.m.

The pizza shop will join downtown pizzeria staples like Canyon Pizza, College Pizza, Allen Street Pizza, Snap Custom Pizza, and more, beginning August 15.
