Penn State Women’s Volleyball Ranked No. 8 In Preseason AVCA Coaches Poll

Penn State women’s volleyball is almost back.

The Nittany Lions were ranked No. 8 in the AVCA coaches’ preseason poll that was released Tuesday. The 2023 preseason poll bumps the program up three spots from its 11th-place finish in the final AVCA poll of 2022.

Penn State is ranked fourth of the Big Ten teams in the poll. Wisconsin, Nebraska, and Minnesota were ranked Nos. 2, 5, and 7, respectively.

The Nittany Lions will face nine teams in the 2023 season ranked in the preseason poll, of which Wisconsin is currently the highest-ranked. Penn State starts the season against No. 11 Florida and No. 20 Georgia Tech on August 25 and 26 in the Road 2 Tampa Bay Invitational.
