[Photo Story] Rally In The Valley 2023

Housing Transitions’ Rally in the Valley food truck event stopped by South Allen Street Sunday, featuring a diverse slate of delicious food truck offerings.

After the event was rained out twice over the summer, Rally in the Valley finally found a beautiful day to support Centre County homeless shelters through Housing Transitions.

State College classics like Sunset Slush, Brazilian Munchies, and Savory Station were instant crowd pleasers on Sunday, drawing crowds to their mobile food stands.

Still, food trucks from further outside town like Sinister Mini Donuts and Real Taste 570 fit in just fine among a slew of Centre County staples.

Housing Transitions hosted several activities for children around the event, including jump rope and face-painting stations.

Smiles and laughs were abundant throughout.

Even some of the Penn State men’s basketball stopped by to check out Rally in the Valley. Ace Baldwin, Puff Johnson, RayQuawndis Mitchell, Zach Hicks, and D’Marco Dunn strolled South Allen and created content while enjoying the event.

State College band Hops and Vines performed acoustic hits from popular artists like Chris Stapleton and Little Big Town, and folks pulled up chairs to enjoy the sweet sounds of their tunes.

Students got in on the musical action, too, and filled the summer silence with some lovely sounds.
