[Photo Story] Penn State vs. Kent State

The bye week can’t keep us out of Beaver Stadium for long!

Penn State football hosted Kent State in the first game after the Nittany Lions’ first bye week of the season. Over 109,000 fans went to Beaver Stadium to watch the Nittany Lions set a school record of 718 total yards of offense and win by a large 56-0 margin.

There was no shortage of action for our visual staff to capture. Let’s take a look at how the game unfolded.

The team arrived in style with camouflage hats for Saturday’s Military Appreciation game.

The Nittany Lions hit the field to begin stretching and warming up for the game.

Defensive tackle Hakeem Beamon led the team through the tunnel, hoisting an American flag he handed to his mother, a former U.S. Army Signal Corps Officer.

Tight end Tyler Warren was the first to put points on the board with a 16-yard receiving touchdown.

It didn’t take long for running back Nick Singleton to join the party with a 17-yard receiving touchdown from Warren to make it 14-0.

Wide receiver Liam Clifford caught his first career touchdown off a 14-yard pass from quarterback Drew Allar to go up 21-0.

The scoring continued in the second half, happening early and often. Wide receiver Omari Evans brought in a 59-yard touchdown from Allar to go up 35-0.

Tight end Khalil Dinkins added to the score with a 13-yard receiving touchdown from quarterback Beau Pribula to make the score 42-0.

A pair of one-yard rushing touchdowns by running back Cam Wallace and Pribula wrapped up the Nittany Lions’ 56-0 win over the Golden Flashes.

Cheers to another week going 1-0. Illinois, you’re up next…
