Anyone love touchdowns?
Penn State improved to 2-0 over the weekend with a dominant 63-7 win over Delaware. Besides one long-run play from the Blue Hens that resulted in their only touchdown, this game was all blue and white.
With all that scoring, there was plenty for fans to see and our visual staff was there to capture it all. Let’s recap by looking back at some pictures.
The Nittany Lion faithful showed up for the early start to support the team on its road to 2-0.
Penn State took the field to get warmed up as fans slowly trickled into the stadium.
As always, the Blue Band got the crowd pumped for another day of Penn State football as the Nittany Lions prepared to take the field.
To celebrate the annual THON game, the Nittany Lions wore a THON sticker on the back of their helmets. The Lion Ambassadors also organized a THON Ribbon section next to the student section’s classic S-Zone.
Despite the early start, fans showed out in full force for the second home game of the season.
It didn’t take long for Penn State to start the scoring. In their first offensive drive, the Nittany Lions found the end zone courtesy of a two-yard run from Nick Singleton.
In a dominant outing for the offense, Penn State scored 35 points by the conclusion of the first half.
The defense has some fun as well. After allowing a touchdown in the first quarter, the defense shut the Blue Hens out for the rest of the game. In the second half, Dominic DeLuca capped off the defensive masterclass with a pick-six.
Backup quarterback Beau Pribula got into the game in the third quarter and kept the train rolling, leading a couple of scoring drives of his own.
The Nittany Lions were all smiles after securing their second victory in a row.
