Penn State Men’s Lacrosse Stars Jack Posey & Chris Jordan Drafted To NLL Calgary Roughnecks

Penn State men’s lacrosse teammates Jack Posey and Chris Jordan were both selected by the Calgary Roughnecks in the 2023 National Lacrosse League (NLL) Draft.

The duo became the 10th and 11th Penn State men’s lacrosse players to be drafted into the NLL. Posey was selected in the fourth round with the 64th pick, while Jordan was chosen with the 78th pick in the fifth round.

The Roughnecks held a winning record of 13-4 last season and advanced to the 2023 NLL Western Conference finals.

Posey, a top defenseman and compelling asset to Penn State’s roster, will return to Panzer Stadium for his fifth season. After a successful 2023 season with a career-high 11 caused turnovers and 25 ground balls, Posey received accolades including All-Big Ten second-team designations and a USA Lacrosse Magazine All-American honorable mention nod. Throughout his 36 games at Penn State, Posey has scored four goals, totaled 47 ground balls, and forced 21 turnovers.

After a season-ending injury, Jordan will return to Penn State’s roster for the 2024 season, too. As an attackman, Jordan scored a total of 12 goals with several multi-goal outings, including one four-goal showing in 2023. He has also registered seven assists and nine ground balls.
