Ever wonder where you could get a mani-pedi in your college town while you’re away from your go-to salon at home? Taking care of your aesthetic while away from home can be a daunting task, especially if you’re unsure where to go in State College.

Whether it’s for your next formal, interview, or date night, we here at Onward State have you covered with some of the best nail salons within a few miles of campus.

Designer’s Denn Salon & Spa

About a six-minute walk from campus along Calder Way, Designer’s Denn offers a variety of services in addition to manicures and pedicures, such as massages, waxing, facials, lash and brow services, hair services, and a variety of spa packages. Designer’s Denn is open 8 a.m. to 6 p.m., Tuesday through Friday, and from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m., Saturday and Monday. The salon and spa has received an average of 4.5/5 stars on Google, with positive reviews on a variety of their services. Their work and services can be found on Facebook and Instagram.

O Nails Spa

About a seven-minute drive from campus off North Atherton Street, O Nails Spa is located right across the parking lot from Walmart. In addition to getting your nails done, O Nails offers waxing services. They are open from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m., Monday through Friday, and from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Saturdays. O Nails Spa reviews average 4.1/5 stars on Google. Some examples of their work and services can be found on their website.

Nail Time

About a 10-minute walk from campus off East Beaver Avenue, Nail Time offers various manicure and pedicure services. Nail Time is open 10 a.m. to 8 a.m., Tuesday through Sunday. Although there is a lack of updated information about the salon, Nail Time has received an average of 4/5 stars on Google including many reviews from satisfied returning customers.

Nail Square

About a six-minute drive from campus by Giant, Nail Square offers various manicure and pedicure services. They are open 9:30 a.m. to 7 p.m., Monday through Saturday, and 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Sunday. Nail Square has received mixed reviews and has received an average of 3.6/5 stars on Google. Nail Square is under new management and does not have a significant amount of information about their salon online.

B&B Nails

About a six-minute drive from campus off of North Atherton Street in Northland Center, B&B Nails offers various manicure and pedicure services. B&B Nails is open from 8:30 a.m. to 8 p.m. on Monday through Friday, 9 a.m. to 7 p.m. on Saturday, and 9:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Sunday. They have received mixed reviews with an average of 3.4/5 stars on Google, but several positive reviews from returning customers satisfied with the salon.

T-Nails & Spa

About a four-minute drive from campus, T-Nails & Spa is located off of East College Avenue between Get Air Trampoline Park and Pep Boys Tire Shop. T-Nails & Spa is open 9 a.m. to 8 p.m., Monday through Saturday, and 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Sunday. They have received mixed reviews with an average of 3.7/5 stars on Google. Some examples of their work can be found on Facebook.
