No. 7 Penn State Football Opens As 14.5-Point Favorite Against Iowa

White Out week is finally here, folks.

After winning big on the road against Illinois in its first conference game, Penn State returns to Beaver Stadium to take on the Iowa Hawkeyes in the annual White Out showdown. Both teams will enter the game carrying 3-0 records and double-digit wins in their last outings on the gridiron.

Last week, Penn State covered the spread by a margin of 2.5 points, however, it failed to hit the over for the first time this season.

This week, FanDuel set the line at 14.5 points in favor of the Nittany Lions, marking the first game of the season that the Hawkeyes open as underdogs. The over-under was also set at 40.5 points.

After covering the spread against Illinois, Penn State moved to 3-0 against the spread, while the Hawkeyes stand at 2-1 against the spread after failing to cover against Utah State in their first game of the season.

The White Out battle will kick off at 7:30 p.m. on Saturday, September 23, under the lights in Beaver Stadium. The matchup will be broadcast on CBS.
