El Jefe’s Taqueria Raises Over $31K During THON Fundraiser

El Jefe’s Taqueria raised $31,906 all For The Kids in its second annual “El Jefe’s FTK” event, according to a release.

The taqueria donated every penny of every sale on September 19 to THON. Over 2,400 customers purchased meals from El Jefe’s as part of the 20-hour fundraiser.

The event raised 43% more in 2023 than in its inaugural year.

“It’s special to see the community come together to help others that are facing hardships, and we at El Jefe’s are very proud to be a part of that effort,” El Jefe’s owner John Schall said. “We also want to thank all our loyal customers for doing their part too. We can’t wait for next year to do it again.”

El Jefe’s pledged to host the fundraiser annually on the third Tuesday of every September moving forward, according to the release.

“We are so grateful for all that El Jefe’s does to support THON and appreciative of all their hard work to make this event possible,” THON Hospitality Director Sam Mazzoni said. “It was such a special day where we had the opportunity to connect with so many members of the THON community.”
