University Health Services To Host Flu Shot Clinics Beginning September 28

Penn State’s University Health Services (UHS) will once again offer its flu vaccine clinics this semester, with the first clinic set for Thursday, September 28.

The clinics will all be offered from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. in the Student Health Center building, located next to the Eisenhower Parking Deck. There are a number of flu shot clinic dates taking place throughout the semester on the following dates:

  • Thursday, September 28
  • Tuesday, October 3
  • Monday, October 9
  • Friday, October 13
  • Tuesday, October 17
  • Thursday, October 19
  • Monday, October 23
  • Thursday, October 26
  • Tuesday, November 7
  • Friday, November 10
  • Wednesday, November 29
  • Tuesday, December 5

Students interested in attending must schedule appointments in advance using myUHS to complete any required forms and upload health insurance information. Walk-ins are not permitted.

Those attending must bring their Penn State id+ cards in order to attend their scheduled clinic.

The clinics are being offered as part of UHS’ #FightFluPSU campaign, which aims to spread awareness to students about getting the flu shot and offer vaccination opportunities.

“Annual flu shots are the best way to protect yourself and those around you from getting flu,” UHS Infection Control Nurse Manager Cecilia Devonshire said. “While there is still a chance of contracting flu even after vaccination, symptoms are often less severe. This means lowering the risk of missing classes, getting behind on assignments, and missing out on time spent with friends. UHS hopes that by offering more opportunities for vaccination at the student health center, students will take a proactive approach to protecting themselves this flu season.”

Penn State students are encouraged to learn more online at UHS’ flu website.
