Penn State Women’s Soccer Holds No. 4 Ranking In United Soccer Coaches Poll

Penn State women’s soccer was ranked No. 4 in the latest United Soccer Coaches Poll released Wednesday. The Nittany Lions remain at No. 4 for the fourth straight week.

Erica Dambach’s roster secured its first win over Ohio State since 2019 in a thrilling 2-1 come-from-behind victory on Sunday. Penn State’s record jumped to 11-0-2 and 5-0-1 in the Big Ten, furthering its undefeated streak.

The Nittany Lions fell behind North Carolina, Stanford, and Florida State, while UCLA rounded out to top five of the poll. Northwestern and Michigan are the only other Big Ten teams in the rankings at No. 18 and No. 19, respectively.

The blue and white will aim to continue its undefeated season against Purdue at 7 p.m. on Thursday, October 12, in West Lafayette, Indiana.
