Penn State Women’s Hockey Announces Wear White Game For Frozen Four

No. 3 Penn State women’s hockey announced a Wear White game for its Frozen Four matchup against No. 2 Wisconsin. The game is set to take place in Pegula Ice Arena on March 20 at 7:30 p.m.

The Nittany Lions reached the program’s first-ever Frozen Four on Saturday after beating No. 6 UConn 3-0 in the Regional Final. Penn State also recently won the AHA tournament, its fourth conference tournament win in a row, on March 7 in Pegula Ice Arena.

The Nittany Lions have been ultra-productive at home, going 18-1 at Pegula Ice Arena so far this season. The only loss came in an overtime game with conference foe RIT. Penn State is 33-5 in total this season.

Wisconsin’s path has been no less impressive, going 33-4-2 overall and 11-1-2 away from home this season. The Badgers’ only common opponent with Penn State is Mercyhurst. Wisconsin beat the Lakers 5-1 in November. The Nittany Lions are 4-1 against Mercyhurst this season.

Folks can experience the Wear White game at Pegula Ice Arena on March 20 at 7:30 p.m. For those unable to travel to the game, it will be broadcasted on ESPN+. For those looking for a women’s hockey marathon, the other Frozen Four matchup, between Ohio State and Northeastern, starts at 4 p.m.
