Streaker Sports To Release Penn State ‘Peanuts’ Collegiate Collection

Good grief, it’s time to shell out more money on Penn State gear.

New York City-based lifestyle sports apparel brand Streaker Sports collaborated with Peanuts to create a Penn State collection featuring an assortment of Peanuts-inspired blue, white, and gray t-shirts, hoodies, and crewnecks. The line is scheduled to launch at 6:30 p.m. on Wednesday, October 11.

“The art is inspired by Snoopy’s alter-egos, ‘Joe Cool’ and ‘Joe College,’ both of whom were invented by Peanuts creator Charles Schulz to express his vision of a cool, laid back college student,” Streaker Sports’ release said.

Streaker Sports has established collegiate lines with Arizona State, Army, Boston University, Harvard, Vermont, and Yale, and is launching Peanuts collections for Arizona State, Clemson, Maryland, Minnesota, Nebraska, Penn State, and Syracuse.

“Tapping into the DNA of each school, understanding what it means to be a part of that community, and then using the Peanuts characters and other artwork from their world to express that unique fandom has been one of the most fun and rewarding creative endeavors we’ve embarked on for this brand,” Streaker Sports Co-Owner and Creative Director Pete Lucchesi said.

Folks can purchase the Penn State apparel on Streaker Sports’ website beginning at 6:30 p.m. on Wednesday.
