No. 7 Penn State Football Opens As 4.5-Point Underdog Against Ohio State

For the first time this season, Penn State football is not the favorite.

The common concerns of Penn State coming off the bye week were quickly shelved after a 63-0 victory over UMass this past week. Once again, the Nittany Lions covered the spread and scored enough points to hit the over. This keeps the blue and white a perfect 6-0 against the spread and a respectable 4-2 against the over-under.

This week, however, is different — the Nittany Lions aren’t favored to win.

FanDuel has the current line set at 4.5 points favoring the Buckeyes in the Shoe, bringing along with it an over-under set at 46.5 points.

So far this season, Ohio State is an average 3-2-1 against the spread and 1-5 against the over-under.

In its last 10 matchups, Penn State is 1-9 overall against the Buckeyes and 7-3 against the spread in those games.

The game will kick off at noon in Columbus and be broadcast on FOX.
