Penn State Hoops’ Ace Baldwin Jr. Named To Bob Cousy Point Guard Of The Year Watch List

Penn State men’s basketball point guard Ace Baldwin Jr. was named to the Bob Cousy Point Guard of the Year preseason watch list on Monday.

Baldwin Jr. was one of just three point guards in the Big Ten on the 20-player watch list, along with Northwestern’s Boo Buie and Maryland’s Jahmir Young.

Baldwin Jr. is a transfer from VCU, where he averaged 12.7 points and 5.8 assists per game last season as a junior. He was also named the Atlantic-10 Player of the Year.

The 6’1” guard steadily improved over his three-year career at VCU, as his points and assists per game and field goal and free throw percentages all improved each year.

Baldwin Jr. and the Nittany Lions tip off their season on at 6 p.m. on Monday, November 6, when they face Delaware State at the Bryce Jordan Center.
