Penn State Softball’s Allison Oneacre Named No. 1 Third Baseman By Softball America

Penn State softball freshman Allison Oneacre was named the No. 1 third baseman in the nation by Softball America, the organization announced Tuesday.

Oneacre has nine home runs in 20 games, which is the fourth most in the Big Ten and 13th most in the nation.

The Alpharetta, Georgia, native also has the third-most RBIs in the conference with 33, while going for 19 putouts and a .983 fielding percentage at third base.

In two games at No. 1 Tennessee this past weekend, Oneacre blasted two home runs on seven hits and had a .444 batting average.

Oneacre was one of 15 players on the list and one of two from the Big Ten along with UCLA’s Bri Alejandre.

The Nittany Lions are 16-4 and ranked No. 22 ahead of this weekend at the Hokie Invitational at Virginia Tech.
