Gameday Coverage: No. 10 Penn State vs. Indiana

Penn State football is back in Beaver Stadium, folks.

The No. 10 Nittany Lions return to action against Indiana on Saturday, with kickoff set for noon for the *checks notes* fifth time this season.

After Penn State lost last week’s matchup against Ohio State to drop to 6-1 on the season, the Indiana matchup will be an important test to see how the team bounces back. Here’s everything you’ll need to know about the game.

Television

Penn State returns to CBS this year for the second time this year and the first time since the White Out against Iowa. Tom McCarthy and Jason McCourty will have the play-by-play and color commentary, respectively, while Tiffany Blackmon will provide coverage from the sidelines.

Radio

Penn State Sports Network — Steve Jones and Jack Ham
Local: 99.5 & 103.7 FM/1450 AM, Sirius/XM/Internet: 83/83/978

Weather

Saturday’s game is supposed to feature the nicest conditions that Happy Valley has seen for a gameday in some time. Beaver Stadium should see a high of 76º Saturday, though clouds are expected, per AccuWeather. The RealFeel is sitting at a very nice 69º accounting for the cloud cover, but anything is better than the rain that Penn State experienced against Iowa and UMass.

Last Meeting

Penn State dominated in its last matchup against Indiana, eviscerating the Hoosiers 45-14 on the road. Running back Kaytron Allen recorded three touchdowns before then-freshman backup quarterback Drew Allar played for more than a quarter.

Injuries

Penn State is trying to deal with the absences of defensive ends Amin Vanover and Chop Robinson. Neither is expected to play, especially Robinson, who took a tough hit to the head against Ohio State last week. Never fear though, as the defensive line is ready to step up even without Robinson.

Betting Lines

After failing to cover the spread for the first time all season against Ohio State, Penn State enters this game as a massive favorite, sitting pretty at -31.5, per FanDuel. The over/under for the game is set at 45.5. Just remember that before Ohio State, Penn State had scored at least 30 points in each of its last 12 games.
