Penn State Football’s Chop Robinson Out, Amin Vanover Questionable Against Indiana

Penn State football will be without key defensive end Chop Robinson for its matchup with Indiana, according to the team’s availability report.

Fellow defensive end Amin Vanover is listed as questionable while cornerback Elliot Washington II, safety Mehki Flowers, and tight end Andrew Rappleyea were listed as out.

Robinson has started every game this year for the Nittany Lions and has cemented himself as one of the best defensive ends in the country while recording nine tackles, three sacks, and a forced fumble. Robinson exited the game against Ohio State after taking a hit to the head in the second quarter.

Vanover has also been a presence on a defensive line that boasts immense depth. The junior has five tackles, 1.5 sacks, and a forced fumble during the 2023 campaign.

Washington has appeared in four games so far this season and has recorded seven total tackles.

James Franklin said he doesn’t think either Robinson’s or Vanover’s injuries are long-term and expects both defensive ends to return later in the season.
