Transfer Portal Roundup: Week Nine

Another week of Penn State football has come and gone, folks.

The Nittany Lions rebounded after last week’s loss to Ohio State and manufactured a victory over Indiana at Beaver Stadium to keep playoff hopes alive. With another win under its belt, the team is gearing up to face Maryland on Saturday, November 4.

Across the college football landscape, it was a fairly slow week for once-Nittany Lions now producing for other teams.

Christian Veilleux, Pittsburgh

It was a tough afternoon for the Pittsburgh Panthers and Christian Veilleux. The quarterback completed 14 passes on 29 attempts and didn’t throw for a touchdown in the Panthers’ 58-7 loss to Notre Dame. His 127 passing yards and four interceptions led Pitt to fall to 2-6.

Ta’Quan Roberson, UConn

Quarterback Ta’Quan Robertson threw for 130 yards in 24 attempts in UConn’s 21-14 loss to Boston College. He completed 11 passes, including a long of 26 yards. The Huskies fell to 1-7 following the outing in Chestnut Hill.

Other Notables

Keyvone Lee, Marquis Wilson, Noah Cain, Storm Duck, Devyn Ford, and Daniel George didn’t compete in action over the weekend, and none of the transfers have hit the gridiron over the previous two weeks.
