Penn State Football Without Wide Receiver Trey Wallace Against Rutgers

Wide receiver Trey Wallace will not be returning to the Nittany Lions’ lineup against Rutgers, according to the team’s availability report.

This is Wallace’s second stint on the sidelines after he left the game against Delaware with an injury and didn’t return until UMass. Wallace was injured again during the contest with Indiana and hasn’t returned to play since.

This season, the receiver has 15 receptions for 161 yards. Without Wallace, the receiving corps has been struggling and the passing game hasn’t been able to get into a rhythm.

Franklin told the media on Wednesday that Wallace wouldn’t be in action against Rutgers, but his status for the last game of the season is still questionable.
