Nittany Lions In The NFL: Week 11 Roundup

Penn State took care of business this weekend by beating Rutgers 27-6 in Beaver Stadium on Saturday. On Sunday, a group of Penn State football alumni took care of business in the NFL, too. Here’s how these pros performed in their matchups this week in the league.

Saquon Barkley, New York Giants

The Giants finally got back in the win column after a tough three-game losing streak, and Saquon Barkley was a big reason why. Barkley had 14 carries for 83 yards, four receptions for 57 yards, and two receiving touchdowns in the 31-19 victory over the Commanders.

Ji’Ayir Brown, San Francisco 49ers

Ji’Ayir Brown recorded his first career interception on a diving catch in the back of the end zone in the 27-14 win over the Buccaneers. Brown had four tackles and three passes defended to go along with an interception.

Micah Parsons, Dallas Cowboys

Micah Parsons recorded his 10th sack of the season in the Dallas Cowboys’ 33-10 blowout of the Panthers. In the game, Parsons had six tackles and 2.5 sacks, and Parsons now has the seventh most sacks in the NFL.

Jahan Dotson, Washington Commanders

In the Commanders’ 31-19 loss to the Giants, Jahan Dotson caught his fourth touchdown of the season and had three receptions for 23 yards to go along with the touchdown.

Odafe Oweh, Baltimore Ravens

Odafe Oweh and the Ravens defeated the Cincinnati Bengals 34-20 on Thursday night. Oweh had three solo tackles and a sack. This marks the third straight game with a sack for the former first-rounder.

Joey Porter Jr., Pittsburgh Steelers

The Steelers lost to the Browns 13-10, but not at the fault of Joey Porter Jr. He had five solo tackles, one assisted tackle, and a pass defended in the loss.

Miles Sanders, Carolina Panthers

Miles Sanders had a bigger role in the 33-10 loss to the Cowboys. Sanders had 11 carries for 50 yards and one catch for two yards.

Jaquan Brisker, Chicago Bears

In the 31-26 loss to the Lions, Jaquan Brisker tallied six total tackles, including five solo and one assist. So far this season, Brisker has 60 total tackles, four passes defended, and a forced fumble.

Chris Godwin, Tampa Bay Buccaneers

Chris Godwin was targeted seven times and caught six of those targets for 39 yards in the Buccaneers’ 27-14 loss to the 49ers.
