Penn State Men’s Lacrosse Ranked No. 4 In USA Lacrosse Preseason Top-20 Poll
Penn State men’s lacrosse is just 32 days away.
Ahead of the 2024 season, the Nittany Lions earned a No. 4 ranking in the USA Lacrosse Top-20 Preseason Poll, the organization announced Wednesday.
In this poll, the Nittany Lions are the top-ranked team in the Big Ten, followed by Maryland (No. 5), Johns Hopkins (No. 6), Michigan (No. 13), and Rutgers (No. 15). Notre Dame, Duke, and Virginia round out the top three.
Last season, Penn State finished with a record of 11-5, a share of the Big Ten regular-season title, and a trip to the NCAA Tournament Final Four. Though its season ended with a controversial overtime call in favor of Duke, Penn State is hungry for a title.
Jeff Tambroni and Co. will host Colgate at noon on Saturday, February 3, at Panzer Stadium, to open the season.
