‘SPA Day’ To Take Over HUB January 19

Penn State’s Student Programming Association (SPA) will hold its annual SPA Day on Friday, January 19. The event is a celebration of all the association has to offer to students at Penn State and will take place throughout the day in and around the HUB.

The afternoon will feature various activities throughout the HUB. From noon to 4 p.m., students can test their F1 aspirations with a VR racing simulation in the TV Lounge by the Pollock Road entrance. At the same time, a photo booth will be located by the Pollock entrance for students to pose for pictures alone or with friends.

On the ground floor, students can get custom airbrush apparel at the HUB Ground Stage near the fish tanks. This activity will also run from noon to 4 p.m.

Known for its concerts, SPA has plenty of performances for Penn Staters to look forward to on SPA Day. The organization will host a noontime performance at the High School Musical stairs and a lecture and acoustic performance by Big Time Rush band member Logan Henderson at 5 p.m. in Heritage Hall.

The most anticipated event of the day, a concert featuring an opener and headliner, will kick off at 9 p.m. in Alumni Hall. The artists for these performances, as well as ticketing information, will be announced “in the coming days.”
