A Penn Stater Is Guaranteed To Win Super Bowl LVIII

Congratulations in advance to the Nittany Lion(s) getting a ring this year.

Now that the final four teams in the NFL Playoffs are set, it’s guaranteed that a former Penn Stater will win Super Bowl LVIII on Sunday, February 11, at Allegiant Stadium in Las Vegas.

In the Super Bowl era, a Nittany Lion has appeared in 53 out of 58 games, with a victor in 41 of those contests. Let’s take a look at who this year’s winner(s) could be.

Odafe Oweh & Jordan Stout — Baltimore Ravens

In the Ravens’ divisional-round matchup with the Houston Texas, sophomore punter Jordan Stout recorded four punts for a total of 169 yards. On the defensive side, Odafe Oweh registered one tackle.

Donovan Smith — Kansas City Chiefs

In the Chiefs’ nailbiter against the Buffalo Bills, the Chief’s offensive line, featuring Donovan Smith, didn’t allow a single sack. Patrick Mahomes was given plenty of time to make calculated plays and lead Kansas City to victory.

Ji’Ayir Brown & Kevin Givens — San Francisco 49ers

Neither Ji’Ayir Brown nor Kevin Givens recorded any stats in the 49ers win over the Packers. While Brown didn’t make an appearance in the game, he recorded two interceptions and 35 tackles in the regular season, so there’s a great chance he’ll see action next week.

Jason Cabinda — Detroit Lions

Jason Cabinda did appear for the Lions in their win over the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, but his only reception of the game resulted in zero yards.
