CVS Pharmacy Inside Downtown Target To Close In February
The CVS Pharmacy located inside the downtown Target at 201 W. Beaver Ave. will close on Tuesday, February 20.
No other closures are expected in State College, CVS Health Lead Director of External Communications Amy Thibault told Onward State in an email Saturday. All prescriptions will be transferred to 116 W. College Ave. following the closure.
CVS is closing select pharmacies within Target locations beginning in February and extending through April to “realign [CVS’s] national retail footprint.” Employees at impacted pharmacies, including the State College location, will be offered “comparable roles within the company.”
The CVS Pharmacies located at 1630 S. Atherton St., 1101 N. Atherton St., 116 W. College Ave., and the pharmacy inside Target at 315 Colonnade Boulevard will not be impacted.
