Penn State Men’s Hockey Forward Aiden Fink Named Big Ten Hockey Third Star Of The Week

Penn State men’s hockey forward Aiden Fink was named the Big Ten’s third hockey star of the week after his performance against Ohio State over the weekend. The freshman’s recognition is his third of the season after he earned back-to-back awards in November.

After three power-play goals and one assist on the weekend, Fink now has the third-highest point total of any freshman in program history with his 15 goals and 17 points. Fink is now tied for third in the Big Ten for points and is now first in the Big Ten for freshman. His 15 goals are also tied for fourth in the Big Ten and third in the nation among rookies.

Most recently, Fink was named a candidate for the Hobey Baker Memorial Award, which is awarded annually to the nation’s top player.

Fink and the rest of the Penn State men’s hockey team are on a bye week and will prepare to take on the No. 9 Minnesota Golden Gophers on Friday, February 9, and Saturday, February 10, in Minneapolis.
