Jesse Luketa Signs One-Year Contract Extension With Arizona Cardinals

Former Penn State football linebacker Jesse Luketa signed a one-year contract extension with the Arizona Cardinals, the team announced Wednesday. The value of the contract has not been announced.

Luketa was drafted by the Cardinals with the 256th overall pick in the seventh round of the 2022 NFL Draft. In his two seasons with Arizona, Luketa tallied 14 total tackles and four tackles for loss. During that time, Luketa has served multiple roles on defense, special teams, and at fullback.

This season, Luketa registered 11 total tackles, including four solo tackles, and two tackles for loss.

Luketa originally signed a four-year deal with the Cardinals before being released last season and returning on a one-year deal. The linebacker also made headlines this season after he received a ride to State Farm Stadium from fans after his car broke down en route to the game.
