Podward State: Season 10, Episode 1 Ft. Steve Jones

On the season 10 premiere of Podward State, hosts Connor Krause and Keeley Lamm were joined by “the voice of Penn State” and broadcasting legend Steve Jones.

Before jumping into the interview, Shannon Smith, Slaughter Joseph, and Ryan Smith got into some State College headlines, highlighted by Sher Halal Barbecue and Grill’s new storefront and the postponement of the Drake concert at the Bryce Jordan Center.

Next, Jones discussed his broadcasting beginnings, the early days of covering Joe Paterno and the Nittany Lions, and watching Dear Old State change from inside the press box across 40 years of coverage. Jones and the crew also chatted about NIL, Big Ten expansion, and dream facilities to call a game.

To wrap up the show, Charlie Pegler covered all things Penn State sports with Aidan Conrad and CJ Gill.
